Fumoto Partners with Girls Auto Clinic Teaching Women How to Perform Their Own Oil Changes.
Philadelphia, PA - November 16, 2019
In November of 2019, Fumoto and Girls Auto Clinic co hosted an event that aimed to teach local women how to perform their own oil changes. The event allowed two groups of three women each to come into the Girls Auto Clinic headquarters and perform oil changes on their own vehicles using Fumoto valves.
The event began with a how to oil change seminar given by Patrice Banks, the founder of Girls Auto Clinic. The seminar included helpful oil change tips such as remembering to start your car prior to an oil change and the proper way to use a torque wrench.
After the seminar all of the participants gained hands-on experience changing the oil in their personal vehicles. Each participant partnered with a mechanic and replaced their oil drain bolt with a Fumoto valve. While waiting for all of the oil to drain from their vehicles the participants were instructed on how to check the air pressure of their tiers.
All of the participants walked away from the event with the new found ability to change their own oil and some Fumoto swag. Fumoto representative Sarah Rubin expressed “ The event was a great success and we can’t wait to partner with Girls Auto Clinic again.”
